Group 1 – Small-Bore Production

Small displacement production cars

SCCA production classes F, G & H production, C and D Sedan up thru 1972 prepared to the 1972 or earlier  SCCA General Competition Regulations H-Modified thru 1965, selected D Sports racing and Monoposto legal Formula Vee and Formula Jr..

 

“Continuation” cars in production prior to their cutoff date

are eligible and must be prepared to that cutoff date or earlier SCCA specification. Selected SCCA Improved Touring cars manufactured 25 years prior to the current calendar year.

Formula Fords conforming to the Formula Ford Challenge Series regulations.

NOTE: Group 2 will run as a standalone group at all VDCA events except the Season Finale in December at Roebling Road where the run group will be Groups 2, 5 & 7.

2CF – “Club Ford” 1973 to 1981

2PCF - “Post Club Ford”

Group 3 – Medium-Bore Production

Medium displacement production cars

Medium Bore production cars up to 12/31/72 prepared to the 1972 SCCA General Competition Regulations  SCCA classes C, D, E and F production and selected B Sedan.

 

“Continuation” cars in production prior to 12/31/72 are eligible and must be prepared to pre-1973 specification. Selected SCCA Improved Touring cars manufactured 25 years prior to current calendar year and 1.6L Spec Miata.

3FP – may also run in Group 1 at the discretion of the race director.

3EP, 3DP, 3CP, 3BS, 3ITA

Group 5 – Sports Racers

Raced between 1960-1970 on treaded tires

World Sports Car Championship and World Manufacturer’s Championship GTs and prototypesas raced between 1960 and 1970. USRRC sports cars and Can-Am as raced before1967 with invited later models.

NOTE: Group 5 and 7 cars will run on track with Group 9 at all VDCA events except the Season Finale at Roebling in December where the run group will be Groups 2, 5 & 7.

 

5ASR - USRRC & Can-Am over 2.0L through 1967, FIA 5.0 litre sports cars and 3.0 litre prototypes as raced in the World Manufacturer’s Championship through 1970

 

5BSR - FIA under 2.0L

- SCCA D-Modified (2.0-3.0L) specs. thru 1967 (Lotus 19, Cooper Monaco)

- SCCA B-Sports Racing 1300-2000cc

5FM – 1150cc – 1600cc

5GT – FIA GT Coupes and Sports cars

Group 6 – Big-Bore Production

Big bore production sports cars

SCCA A and B production, Trans-Am over 2 liters and A Sedan cars up to 12/31/72. Also SCCA American Sedan thru 1989.

World Championship for Makes sports cars as raced after 1970 on slicks. C & D Sports racers and other selected under 2.0L sports racing cars as raced after 1972. SCCA ASR & BSR on slicks. Sports 2000.

SCCA A through D Production. SCCA B-Sedan, IMSA RS, Trans-Am. “Continuation” cars in production prior to their cutoff date are eligible and must be prepared to that cutoff date or earlier SCCA specification. Selected SCCA Improved Touring cars manufactured 25 years prior to the current calendar year and 1.8L Spec Miata.

 

NOTE: Group 8 will run on track with Group 6.

Group 9 – Open wheel, wings and slicks

Selected Monoposto F70 and Formula Continental

Formula 70 cars must be under 2 liter, flat bottom cars through 1979 and conforming to Monoposto F70 rules. SCCA Formula Continental through 1989. Later Formula Continental on a case-by-case basis.

 

NOTE: Group 9 cars will run on track with Groups 5 and 7. Group 9 cars will not be eligible for participation in the VDCA Season Finale event at Roebling Road in December.
